I am a freelance graphic and surface pattern designer living in Berlin, Germany.
My aim is to create designs that make people happy.
I love to experiment with techniques and materials, to collect things and to recycle them in a new visual context.
I have more than 19 years professional experience in several areas: For some years I worked for several advertising agencies, with a focus on graphic design. Over the following 10 years I worked for two publishing houses as editorial designer. In addition I have worked for my own clients (graphic design and illustrations).
My passion for patterns and colors turned into a new business area over the last few years.
My designs are suitable for home textiles, accessories, paper goods, fashion and tabletop.
I take inspiration from nature, the Bauhaus, Japanese and African textiles, found objects and old scientific books.
I use hand-drawn and hand-printed elements, photograms, collages and old graphics and rework them on the computer.
I am interested in commissions, selling and licensing my pattern designs, and the cooperation with a textile design studio.
Please feel free to contact me with your ideas!
To have a look at my current pattern design portfolio, please send me an e-mail with your name, company name, website address, and description of your business (portfolio open to manufacturers and buyers only).
